When an inspector is collecting data about a house input is gathered into nine major
groups. These are called the Exterior Inspection, Interior Inspection, Electrical
Inspection, Plumbing Inspection, Heating System Inspection, Miscellaneous Heating System,
Cooling System Inspection, Miscellaneous Cooling System and Inspection Summary. These
major groups are subdivided into components and or systems, more than one hundred and
ninety to select from! In turn, more than 6,300 relevant pre-dispositions are
available for these items. An inspector is able to add dispositions in the rare
situation where he or she needs to add them.
Because of the high standards employed in the design of the Residential Inspector, wherever possible, data entry has been reduced or eliminated altogether. For example, if ever there is a requirement to inspect a property more than once, the Residential Inspector's advance design will minimize repetitive data entry. Multiple orders can be created for the same property being inspected. Other packages, are not able to offer this feature. Because pre-dispostions are available, an inspector is able to select from what's available, rather than to create them from scatch.
